The full text of the GPL is available here: http://www.freertos.org/license.txt. The text of the exception is available on FreeRTOS official website: http://www.FreeRTOS.org  – License and Warranty Page The exceptions permits the source code of applications that use FreeRTOS soley through the API published on this WEB site to remain closed source, thus permitting the use of FreeRTOS in commercial applications without necessitating that the whole application be open sourced. Well I’m not a lawyer – but as far as I am concerned that is more than sufficient, and I am the project owner so its up to me – and I’m on record here as saying such :o) I would be interested in knowing what your product is – send me an email directly (r [dot] barry *at* freertos.org) if you don’t want to post it here.
